Prayer Request

I'm sure many of you know Wes and Carrie Gotcher who are missionaries in Brazil. We went to see them there this summer! Carrie was my voice teacher before they went to Brazil.

Earlier this year, Wes and Carrie found out they were pregnant with twin boys!!

Their due date was on Christmas Day. Sometime within the past day, their precious baby boys were born. We have heard that the boys are about 2 pounds each. We don't know a lot of details, but that doesn't matter because God does know.

Please be praying for this sweet family. They gave up their life here to go tell people about Christ in Brazil. I'm sure it's so very hard to be in another country away from their family and have their boys be born so early. Please also pray that their families can get down to Brazil as soon as possible. They will need many many prayers and support in the days and weeks to come. They are such great people who overflow with God's love. I know they are trusting God in everything, but it's still so hard.

"Even the darkness will not be dark to you;the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well." -Psalm 139:12-14
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11

This song is so comforting..
Our God by Chris Tomlin
Water You turned into wine
Open the eyes of the blind
There’s no one like You
None like You
Into the darkness You shine
Out of the ashes we rise
There’s no one like You
None like You
CHORUS
Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome in power
Our God, Our God…
Into the darkness you shining
Out of the ashes we Rise
There’s no One like You
None like You.
Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome in power
Our God, Our God…
Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome in power
Our God, Our God…
BRIDGE
And if Our God is for us, then who could ever stop us
And if our God is with us, then what can stand against?
And if Our God is for us, then who could ever stop us
And if our God is with us, then what can stand against?
What can stand against?
Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome in power
Our God, Our God…
Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome in power
Our God, Our God…
And if Our God is for us, then who could ever stop us
And if our God is with us, then what can stand against?
And if Our God is for us, then who can ever stop us
And if our God is with us, then what can stand against?
Then what can stand against?
Then what can stand against?
Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome in power
Our God, Our God…
Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome in power
Our God, Our God…
When I said, "My foot is slipping,"

your love, O LORD, supported me.
When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought joy to my soul.- Psalm 94:18-20

Prayers needed

This morning one of my best friend's family got a call that no one should have to experience. The call was that my best friend's grandmother went to heaven this morning on the way to the hospital. Her grandparents live in Tipton, Oklahoma so they will go down there as soon as it is safe to get out from the snow/ice storm. Her grammy was such a sweet lady and you could tell she lived for Christ. Please please by praying for them. I know it would be encouraging to them to know that you are praying so if you want to leave a comment, I will make sure they see it sometime.

"Remember your promise to me;
it is my only hope.
Your promise revives me;
it comforts me in all my troubles."
Psalm 119:49-50
"Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Please pray for this family.

This weekend has been very hard for many people. My brother (Landon) is 11 years old and his best friend was over at our house Friday. We got a call that his 2 year old brother had drowned in their pool and was in critical condition.
The little boy went to heaven yesterday. We know that Jesus is holding him. I'm so sad for this sweet family. So many people are hurting for them. They have been through so much.
Landon got to see his friend yesterday. He said that it was really hard to see him like that, and that he told Landon about everything that happened.
We don't know why stuff like this happens. It's not fair to them.
But what we do know is that God keeps his promises. The promises don't take the pain away, but it gives us hope. Hope that we will see him in heaven. We have to have faith that God is always faithful to us.

"Remember your promise to me;
it is my only hope.
Your promise revives me;
it comforts me in all my troubles."
Psalm 119:49-50
Please be praying for this family.
I'm hooked up to an IV right now. The nurse is here and watched my mom access my port for the first time. I think I'm getting used to it being accessed..but it will take a while.
