IV Laser Therapy

Today I started a new treatment called IV Laser Therapy. It was developed in Germany and has been used in Europe for a long time. The clinic here has been using it for about a year now and has seen good progress with it, especially with autoimmune problems. As the blood circulates through the vein, it passes through the laser. What does the laser do exactly and how does it work? Well, I'm not totally sure. All I know is that it is giving pain relief to people with arthritis, fibromyalgia, and other painful diseases. It is also giving them their energy back. Once I understand more how this works, I will let you know!

Here is the machine.

They start a normal IV, then put the catheter in and hook it up to the machine. There are red, blue, and green lasers. Each laser is used for 10 minutes, so the treatment is 30 minutes total. Today it took longer to get the IV started than it did to do the actual treatment. As usual my veins were hard to find.

This is the blue one. The circle that is on my arm is where the catheter in the vein stops. That laser is shining up through the vein and skin.

The red one.

The green.

The red and green were so bright that they covered my arm up with a blanket! It was crazy how bright they were when you looked at them.

The doctor recommends that I do this twice a week for five weeks, and then we will re-evaluate. During the treatment I didn't feel anything. I could feel the end of the catheter poking my vein since it was so long, so that was a little painful, but other than that it was fine! I don't really feel any different now either, but it could take several treatments to see a difference.

It's a very interesting treatment! I'm excited to see what happens with it.

  2. where did you have this therapy? I met someone who was cured in Canada using IV laser light therapy. Can't find it anywhere in the states and the man in Toronto has a one year wait list. Would love to know how you did with this and where you had it done.

    1. I had this therapy at a clinic in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. If you would like more info feel free to email me at victoriashari(at)hotmail(dot)com.

Wow that is a very long waiting list. I started treatment the week after I met with the doctor, who is actually an anesthesiologist/pain management doctor but was frustrated with the modern medicine field and decided to work with more natural treatments.

I did okay with the treatment, but wasn't able to finish the recommended number of sessions because of several different factors, so I never felt symptom relief. After each treatment it would make me really really tired and make me hurt more which was "good" because that meant it was killing the Lyme and/or other bacteria and viruses. I'm sure you know this, but when the bacteria is killed, it gives off toxins that make you sicker than you were before so it's actually good that it made me sicker. But unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish the recommended number of sessions so I didn't see relief in my symptoms because it was too early. But, I'm sure it did a lot of good inside since it made me sick!

Do you have Lyme? If so, how long have you had it?

  3. I'm wondering if this has helped you by now? My sister and I both have problems from lyme disease and she's just starting this type of therapy as well, so I wondered how it's gone for you.
