Happy Easter

Happy Easter to everyone! This Easter is different for us than every other Easter. My mom and I are still in Nevada, while the rest of my family is back home. Usually, we go to church, and then have everyone over to our house for a big meal. This year, the rest of my family is getting together. My mom and I don't have any plans. We haven't been able to go to church the whole time we've been here because I just don't feel well enough. I still can't eat a whole lot because of the colon infection. So we're just hanging out at the apartment. It feels so wrong. Sundays are for worshiping God with our brothers and sisters in Christ. While we've been here, Sundays don't seem like Sundays since we haven't been able to go to church.

But Easter isn't about all the "earthly" things we make it. Yes, this year is so different. My mom and I have been across the country for almost 7 weeks while I receive medical treatment. We can't go to church and aren't having a big meal with an Easter egg hunt. But Jesus still rose from the dead. He still conquered death and sin! Praise God that even though we aren't doing the "Easter" traditions, Jesus still rose from the grave! Here are some verses and songs that I love.

“Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15:55-57

"Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has risen!" Luke 24:5-6

"Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus." Romans 6:8-11

"There's a peace I've come to know

Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say "It is well"
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

There's a day that's drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise"

"Let no one caught in sin remain

Inside the lie of inward shame
But fix our eyes upon the cross
And run to Him who showed great love
And bled for us
Freely You've bled for us
(Chorus)

Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake, come awake
Come and rise up from the grave
Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with Him again
Come awake, come awake
Come and rise up from the grave

Beneath the weight of all our sin
You bowed to none but heaven's will
No scheme of hell, no scoffer's crown
No burden great can hold You down
In strength You reign
Forever let Your church proclaim

O death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
The glory of God has defeated the night

O death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
Our God is not dead
He's alive! He's alive!
Rise up from the grave"

Jesus is alive! Praise God!!

I'm working on an update on me, I'm just still not feeling well.
